July 28, 2019 VFW Post 688 completed the third weekend in a row on the upkeep of PVT Bruno Phillip’s Headstone. Members had noticed that weather has taken a toll on our name sakes’ headstone. With permission from Boerne Cemetery and living relatives of PVT Bruno Phillip, the Post has been going out weekly to ensure his Headstone is looking at it’s best as a small tribute to his sacrifice for our Nation.
June 3, 2019 VFW post 688 met at Boerne City Lake to clean up after a busy weekend.
May 18, 2019 VFW Post 688 sponsored and led Bingo today and we had a fantastic time with other Veterans! Thanks to all our members who are committed to serving!

August 24, 2018 VFW Post 688 delivered food to Boerne Family Services and Animal Food and Cat Litter to the Boerne Animal Shelter.
August 18, 2018 we cleaned up River Road Park today. We got lots of work done and enjoyed lots of Comradeship! This is just one of the many community service projects we complete on a regular basis. We’re proud of our community!

July 15 2017 VFW Post 688 brought the refreshment for Bingo at the Kerrville VA Hospital and assisted veterans playing Bingo who were unable to mark there own cards.
VFW Post 688 adopted Boerne City Lake Park several years ago and goes out regularly to help keep the park clean. This morning we were out there picking up trash and debris. We are proud to provide community service such as this to help keep the City of Boerne beautiful for its residents and guests!
