From July 11-14, 2018 VFW Post 688 had several officer attend the Texas Leadership Seminar. Where we learned many useful tools to take back to our local and district posts. This years event to place in Austin.
VFW Post 688 Boerne led the Comfort Fourth of July Parade with their Color Guard and had a parade float with VFW Post 8569 Comfort. Our float won First Place in the Most Patriotic category.

Today was Buddy Poppy Day for VFW Post 688. The Buddy Poppy is the official memorial flower of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. They are made by disabled and needy veterans. Donations for the Buddy Poppy are used exclusively to assist local veterans in need.
