A huge thank you goes out to Lone Star Lawn’s Veteran Owned and Operated for their support of VFW Post 688. We received a donation from them today that will be used to assist local Veterans in need. — at Veteran's Park.
VFW Post 688 was recognized on April 9th, 2019 at its monthly meeting as a Purple Heart Post. MOPH Lazaro Camarillo presented the proclamation and sign to our Post Commander. A picture was taken of some of the Purple Heart recipients in the Post and then all the Post members present.
Thank you Boerne Bergesfest for making a donation to VFW Post 688 in John Pritchett’s name. John was Post Chaplain for many years and was a friend to all. John served in the USAF as a B52 Crew chief and participated in several combat missions in Vietnam.
In 2018, VFW Post 688 adopted the 433rd Medical Squadron at Lackland AFB. We've had the opportunity to serve them in many ways already and look forward to a great future together. VFW Post 688's Commander, Andrew Camplen, was inducted as the 433rd Medical Squadron Honorary Commander.
