We had a great time at the Kendall County Fair Parade today.
A few days ago we were told there would be some VIP guests watching the parade who were widows of WWII Veterans. They have held an annual reunion the past 74 years. We picked up some long stem roses at Boerne HEB plus and Eddie there tied red, white, and blue ribbons around them. We stopped during the parade and Post Commander Andrew Camplen presented the roses to the widows and those who were caring for them. VFW-No One Does More For Veterans, their family members, their widows, and orphans.
While at the parade we were visited by Kirsten Cohoon. Thank you Kirsten for stopping to say hello.
We visited the local Cub Scouts and their float and are happy to see these young Americans being taught very important things by great leaders!
I would like to recognize and thank all in attendance who stood and paid respects to the American Flags we carry and who thank us for our service. We are grateful to live in such a wonderful City and County that appreciates the service of all Veterans and supports the Pvt. Bruno Phillip Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 688!
