2nd Place Patriotic Award
Bruno Phillip/William J. Bordelon VFW Post 688 set the tempo for the Independence Day Parade in Comfort on July 4th by winning Best of Show and 2nd Place Patriotic Award.  "Patriotism was outstanding." says Post Commander, Dave Judson.  Along the entire route kids and adults waved the Flag of Freedom and saluted the American flag, float, and members as they passed by.

Red Shirt Friday Honoring Those Deployed
Members Mike Valentine, John Pritchett, Ed Mergele, and Dan Heckler answered lots of challenging questions from students when Post 688 presented Veterans in the Classroom at  Fabra Elementary School.
Post 688 is promoting Red Shirt Friday in honor of our deployed troops who are still in harms way.  Tony Spall heads up the Red Shirt Friday tee-shirt sales for the Post and is seated at the sales booth at Boerne Market Days.  Contact Tony to order your shirt!
